Two children only survivors of highway collision
Drivers in Kansas City may be aware of the fact that just one moment of being reckless on the road can lead to a lifetime of regret. While reckless drivers may get lucky at times, it only takes one instance to completely change a person’s life or to seriously harm or even kill another driver or pedestrian.
This is the case with one recent collision which has left four people dead. In an attempt to pass a tractor-trailer, a 22 year old woman ended up colliding head-on with a 42 year old man driving with three other passengers. Both of the drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, along with one passenger in the man’s car. In the woman’s car, her 25 year old passenger was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The only survivors of the accident are two children who were riding in the man’s car. They are currently dealing with serious injuries and it is unknown how critical their conditions are. The survivors are 12 and 14 years old, respectively. They were taken to separate hospitals in order to be treated. They were likely situated in the back seat of the second vehicle, as the front seat passenger was the woman who died on the scene.
Due to one reckless decision on the road, four people lost their lives in that accident and two children have been left in a state of severe injury. This is just one example of how badly a single poor choice can lead to severe repercussions. Anyone who is facing a similar situation may wish to contact an attorney for further guidance and aid.
